Nikolay Mihaylov
Nikolay Mihaylov is a teacher of classical guitar, chamber music and musical ensembles in National school of Arts „Panayot Pipkov” – Pleven, Bulgaria. His students won important prizes in prestigious national and international competitions in Bulgaria, Croatia, Italy, Macedonia, Greece and Romania. Since 2018 he is a Deputy director for the educational and creative activity.
In 2018 he was awarded with one of the most prestigious awards of the Bulgarian ministry of Culture: for contribution to the development and promotion of the Bulgarian culture and national identity. In the same year Nikolay Mihaylov was nominated in the "Young Leaders of Pleven"- art category, an initiative organized by the Municipality of Pleven, and subsequently won in his category.
For the period 2013-2020 Nikolay Mihaylov was awarded several times for exceptional merits in the art field and a merit in the classical guitar development.
Nikolay Mihaylov is a graduate of the National Academy of Music "Pancho Vladigerov" and in 2014 he graduated from his master's degree in the guitar class of Assoc. Prof. Rossen Balkanski. During his studies, he created various formations and ensembles with which he won several awards. His film and sound design activities, reflected in several short films, brought him international participations and awards.
Nikolay Mihaylov is nowadays the founder and artistic director of the Pleven International Guitar Festival.
