Belmin Okanovic
Belmin Okanovic completed his Bachelor's degree in summer 2022 with top marks at the Robert Schumann Hochschule under the direction of Prof. Joaquin Clerch, where he will continue his Master's studies.
Belmin Okanovic performs regularly and has already given many concerts and performances in Germany, Belgium, Poland, Slovenia, Austria, Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro. He has won more than 20 prizes and acknowledgements at European and international competitions in Germany, Italy, Belgium, Romania, B&H, Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro. Belmin Okanovic has also received a number of awards in his home country Bosnia-Herzegovina. He is particularly proud of the recognition he has received from the Federal Ministry of for Science and Culture, which named him the most successful student of the music schools of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the school year 2011/2012.
Belmin Okanovic was born in Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegovina) in 1997. At the age of eight he got his first guitar lesson. At the secondary school for music in Tuzla, he completed his studies in the class of guitarist Predrag Stankovic. In 2017, 2018 and 2020, Belmin Okanovic won the Deutschlandstipendium, which enabled him to study in Düsseldorf. In addition, he was selected as a soloist by the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation in 2019, which will give him increased performance opportunities in North Rhine-Westphalia for four years.
