David Tudor

David Tudor, a 14-year-old guitarist from Alba Iulia, Romania, began his guitar studies at the age of 4, guided by his father, Dragoș Tudor, a guitar teacher at the „Regina Maria” Art High School in Alba Iulia.

Over the years, David has attended masterclasses with renowned guitarists, including Gabriel Guillem (Austria), Carles Guisado (Spain), Giampaolo Bandini (Italy), Marcin Dylla (Poland), Susana Prieto (Spain), Constantin Andrei (Romania), and Liviu Georgescu (Romania).

His dedication to the instrument has earned him numerous accolades:

  • 1st Prize at the International Guitar Festival “Paganini” in Parma, Italy, 2019, in his age category;
  • 1st Prize at the International Guitar Festival “Paganini” in Parma, Italy, 2023, in the 17-21 age category;
  • 1st Prize at the International Guitar Festival “Transilvania” in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, in two different age categories;
  • 2nd Prize at the International Guitar Festival in Rust, Austria, 2019, in his age category;
  • 1st Prize at the National Music Olympiad for Grades V-VIII, National Stage, Zalău, 2023;
  • Awarded by the online news outlet Newsweek in their December 2023 gala;
  • In 2024, he made a notable appearance on the TV show “Românii au talent,” broadcasted by PROTV;
  • 1st Prize at the National Music Olympiad for Grades V-VIII, National Stage, Suceava, 2024;
  • 1st Prize at the International Guitar Festival in Szeged, Hungary, June 2024;
  • 2nd Prize at the International Guitar Festival “Jose Tomas Villa” in Petrer, Spain, July 2024.

His passion for the guitar brings music to life and allows us to experience each sound with deep emotion. Currently, David is preparing alongside his father, Dragoș Tudor, and Stan Zamfirescu, a professor at the „George Enescu” Music College in Bucharest.
