Sophia Erdei began her classical guitar journey at the age of 8 in 2019, studying at the Popular Art School "Tudor Jarda" in Cluj-Napoca. Guided by exceptional teachers such as Ștefan Trifan, Andras Moldovan, and Mădălin Nedelcu, Sophia quickly developed her talent and passion for the instrument, becoming one of Romania's most promising young classical guitarists.

Over the years, Sophia has earned numerous significant awards, including First prizes at Szeged International Guitar Competition 2022 (Ungaria) Kirov Guitar Competition "A. Matyaev" 2022 (Rusia), Rust International Guitar Competition "Alirio Diaz" 2023 (Austria), Transilvania Youth Guitar Competition 2023 și 2024 (Romania).

Sophia Erdei is undoubtedly one of the most promising young talents in classical guitar in Romania, and her artistic journey promises many more exceptional achievements in the years to come.
