Born on March 4, 1976, in Suceava, Daniel Dragomirescu attended the College of Arts "Ciprian Porumbescu" in his hometown (the instrumental section) and the University of Arts "George Enescu" Iaşi, the Faculty of Music Performance, specializing in classical guitar with the Lecturer Mihai Babii.
He received various awards and prizes in contests of instrumental performance (the last of these is the first prize at the International Competition ”Transilvania Guitar Festival” in Cluj, with the classical guitar quartet ”Alhambra”). At a national level, he gave many recitals for TVR Iasi, the Guitar Festival in Arad (1997 with the Philharmonic of Arad), Iasi (1998, 2008, 2017 with Philharmonic Moldova), Botosani (1996, 2018, with the Philharmonic of Botoșani), Suceava, Deva, Galati, Timișoara (2005), Cluj (2011), Brașov (2017), Piatra Neamț (2010, 2018) or Arad (2019).
While invited at the Guitar Festival in Bucharest (2000) he performed together with Gabriel Guillen, Adam Khan, and the remarkable guitarist Al Di Meola.
He studied in master-classes not only with great European guitarists (Costas Cotsiolis, Carlo Marchionni, Joaquin Clerch, Michel Sadanowsky, Marcin Dylla, András Csaki, Antal Pusztai, Rafael Aguirre Miñarro, Antal Pusztai) but also with outstanding performers from the USA (Andrew Zohn). He gave recitals in France, England, Belgium, Hungary, and Turkey.
In 2011 he obtained the Ph.D. title in instrumental performance with the thesis entitled STYLISTIC- PERFORMANCE DIMENSIONS OF THE CONTEMPORARY CREATION FOR THE SOLO GUITAR IN THE LATIN-AMERICAN AREA (LEO BROUWER and HEITOR VILLA-LOBOS).
The scientific activity is materialized through publications at specialized publishing houses, the last publication being in August 2018, the book entitled HEITOR VILLA-LOBOS. STYLISTIC AND INTERPRETIVE COORDINATES OF THE CREATION FOR THE GUITAR.
At present, he is an Associate Professor at the University of Arts "George Enescu", Iasi and a teacher at the College of Arts "Ciprian Porumbescu" Suceava.
