Alexandra Gurgu

Alexandra Gurgu graduated from the "Hariclea Darclee" High School of Arts in Braila, Romania under the guidance of professor Lucian Macedon.

She continued her studies at the Faculty of Music of "Transilvania" University of Brasov, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Music Pedagogy in 2009. She also studied classical guitar with professor Corneliu-George Voicescu in the same university program. In 2011 she obtained a Master's degree in Music Education at "George Enescu" University of Iasi, Faculty of Composition, Musicology, Music Pedagogy and Theatre. 

Since 2012 she has been a classical guitar teacher at the "Hariclea Darclee" High School of Arts in Braila. She currently takes pride in mentoring young guitarists on the path to performance, participating with them in national and international competitions, winning numerous awards and mentions.

Currently, besides her teaching activity, Alexandra Gurgu is a member of the guitar trio "Trio Milonga" together with the professors Marius Șerban and Mădălin Nedelcu. She's also the Music Secretary of the Philharmonic "Lyra - George Cavadia" Braila.
